ImpL2 homolog Peroxidasin as an active participant in human neoplasm.
Rationalizing on the work published by Young Kwon et al Cell could peroxidasin play an active role in cancer via pathways of insulin/IGF signaling? Peroxidasin is cited as ImpL2 homolog in humans, but what makes peroxidasin an interesting molecule is the fact that it has been shown to play a part in different pathways associated with human neoplasm Nucleic Acids Research. To resolve the question/s of the role played by peroxidasin -if any- some possible paths could be explored: How is peroxidasin expressed in human cancer? Is peroxidasin a detectable seric protein, if so, is it elevated in cancer patients? Could an elevated expression of peroxidasin be linked with cancer-induced cachexia?
