Global warming has increased due to accumulation of Carbon Dioxide, creating serious impacts on the existence of humans and their activities. The learning- teaching efficiency is also impacted by higher temperatures. The educational institutes also have contributed to the global warming by little quantities due to their activities and energy use. Thus, they have a role to promote the self-limiting Carbon emissions of their main stakeholders. As a practical method to promote self-limiting among students, a mobile app can be introduced via educational institutes which will add points upon the choices, i.e. demand e-books, attending virtual conferences, use a bicycle instead of the school bus. In here, the average Carbon emission level per student, maximum Carbon emission allowance per student and average Carbon emission per different activity are needed to be calculated first. The points can be allocated as per the scale of reduction due to the selected activities via an algorithm. Further, similar algorithms can be used to show the best options to be within the permitted limits. The earned points can be used to offer rewards, assign marks for some fundamental requirements, i.e. ethical behaviour, rationality assessments or exchange with money to make the use as a habit.

for virtual conferences, do you prefer video or audio over the other?

Videos would be preferred by considering its quality and the interaction. Then it will not reduce the knowledge gain much due to not attending physically.
